FAQ for DTS Software Replacements
How easy is it to install DTS software and how quickly can I be up and running with DTS products?
DTS Products install dynamically, WITHOUT the need for SMP expertise, making installation and maintenance far simpler. And there is NO complex “Framework” – just straightforward function. Both CA and BMC products require esoteric expertise in their complex architecture just to be able to do basic installation/maintenance tasks.
Does DTS ever outsource any software development for their products?
DTS Software develops and maintains – in house – all of our own products, allowing us to provide you with more comprehensive, effective support whenever it’s needed. Almost no other vendor can make this claim.
How much of DTS Software's technology was acquired versus developed in house?
We do not have a stable of “purchased” products for which the original developers are long gone. Because we wrote the code, we know our products inside and out. Always have. Always will!
What percentage of DTS Software's products are exclusive to mainframe systems?
DTS Software develops MAINFRAME products exclusively, and our programmers are mainframe experts with years of experience. We aren’t throwing interns and recent graduates at something this important.
What is the development process for DTS products and how much overhead is built into the code? Is it streamlined for performance?
DTS Programs are written almost exclusively in Assembler. This requires a high level of expertise (which we have) and provides the fastest possible performance with no reliance on additional libraries.
What about support documentation for DTS products?
Our technical documentation is written by our developers, so you know they are useful and germane, not full of elegant fluff like so many vendors.
